Alamo Tamale Company When most people think about Houston, they think about the energy business, but Houston is home to all types of manufacturers including many with food products. According to the Greater Houston Partnership, three hundred and twenty food processing companies make the Houston metropolitan area their home, and these companies employ more than 13,000 people. In the past decade, some of the major food processing companies such as Nabisco have relocated to Houston, but Houston is also home to a number of “home-grown” food companies such as Alamo Tamale Corporation. Alamo Tamale Corporation has been manufacturing fresh tamales in greater Houston since 1960, when Eduardo and Graciela Webster decided to share their family recipes for all to enjoy and opened a 2,000 square-foot factory. Today their son, Louis Webster, operates this multi-million dollar business at the company’s state-of-the-art 25,000 square foot facility where each tamale is made fresh and hand-wrapped in corn husks.

With products originating from a long-standing family recipe, the family owned business has expanded to meet a nationwide demand. Having long been available in stores and retail outlets, Alamo Tamales are now available online and shipped second day air mail (within the continental US). Overnight delivery is also available for an additional fee. Ordering fresh tamales online is easy, and convenient. A variety of tamales, Hot or Mild Pork, Beef, Chicken, Spinach & Cheese, and Bean, are available over the internet. If you are in the mood for variety, order one of each!

Alamo Tamales stay fresh up to 90 days if refrigerated, so they are great for company events or lunches. The minimum order is six dozen tamales, while the maximum order is twelve dozen.

Along with a brief company history, the website at Alamo Tamale Corp includes many recipes and helpful tips. Who would’ve ever thought that saving the seeds of an avocado is good for keeping guacamole fresh? Ever tried to avoid crying when chopping onions? Find out how by visiting www.alamotamale.com.

You will enjoy the ease and convenience of ordering from the Alamo Tamale website. Be sure to check out the recipes!
